Creation and Destruction

A quality of human nature is that we will often assign some moral value to things we see in the natural world. For instance, watching the old Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, as a child, I got a taste for the “good” and “bad” side of nature. We would see lion's tenderly caring for their cubs, then see the same lions stalking and catching a beautiful gazelle, making a meal out it's carcass. I don't remember the hosts emphasizing the moral qualities, but it was my own reaction to what I was watching.
